Is Gear.Club a driving simulator?
No, but it can be called a racing simulator. Gear.Club allows players to race in multiple ways across many different environments.
How many Gear.Club games are there, and for what devices?
Eden Games currently offers four games. The latest release is Gear.Club Stradale which is available on Apple Arcade. Other Gear.Club Games include, Gear.Club: True Racing which is free and made for mobile devices, Gear.Club Unlimited costs about $45 and is available for the Nintendo Switch, but is now considered outdated. Gear.Club Unlimited 2 costs about $60 and is also on the Switch, the updated version of Unlimited. There are also a handful of special edition games for the Switch which can add more to the experience.
How is Gear.Club different from other popular series like Need For Speed and Forza?
Gear.Club is quite different from Need For Speed. It offers a more relaxed approach to racing. NFS primarily focuses on intense, illicit racing. Gear.Club focuses on typical sanctioned racing through beautiful environments. There is no illegal racing or police presence. Additionally, cars cannot be physically damaged after a crash, something both liked and disliked by players. Gear.Club has been described as related to the Forza Horizon series and fans have enjoyed both games, due to both of them sharing a more relaxed, scenic racing experience
Does Gear.Club have real cars and tracks in it?
Gear.Club has around 50 licensed cars in it (although it varies by game) from manufacturers like McLaren, Alfa Romeo, Mercedes-Benz, Lotus, Porsche, and more. Notably, it currently does not have vehicles from Lamborghini, Ferrari, or Maserati, although Eden Games has expressed their intent to include these in the future. As for tracks, none of them are directly based of real-world counterparts, although the in-game regions and tracks are inspired by regions in Europe and Southwestern US. The exception is Gear.Club: Tracks Edition, which will feature the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race.
Does Gear.Club have classic cars in it?
Yes, but not many. Older classic cars from brands like Pontiac, Buick, or Plymouth are not featured in this game, and likely never will. Gear.Club focuses on modern-day sports cars, muscle cars, supercars, and hypercars. All vehicles in the game were made between 2006 and 2019. The exception is the Porsche 911 Type 930 and the Ford GT40, which are only available in select games in the series.
Can you customize you cars in Gear.Club?
Yes. In the performance shop, players can use the paint workshop and the cosmetic workshop to customize the look of their cars. Most cars in the game have 1-2 full body kits that can be purchased and usually come with a variety of spoiler and rim options. The paint workshop can apply paints in every main color. Cars also have preset custom paints that are more expensive and cannot be modified.
What kind of racing does Gear.Club offer?
Gear.Club is focused on sanctioned street racing, time trials, and rally/dirt racing. Drifting can be performed in rally races. There is no illegal street racing, no police or other obstacles on the road. The tracks are primarily highways that run through towns, beaches, forests, canyons, desert, mountains, and snow. As of 2020, Gear.Club will also feature motorsport and endurance racing.
Does Gear.Club have an open world map?
No. Gear.Club does not have open world capability, but has a combined total of about 1300 miles of dirt roads, asphalt, and highways.
Is Gear.Club a multiplayer game?
Gear.Club has a multiplayer option in the form of leagues. Players compete to set the best time on a track, with the winner receiving a generous reward. Additionally, in the mobile version of Gear.Club, Eden Games hosts tournaments every once in a while, where players who set a specific time can earn exclusive, powerful cars and even earn real rewards, such as the World's Fastest Gamer event which was held in the summer of 2019.
Does Gear.Club have microtransactions, and is it a fair game?
The mobile version of Gear.Club does, players can purchase currency to accelerate their progress. That being said, it is without a doubt a fair game. Unlike rival racing app Real Racing 3, which is notorious for subtly forcing players to spend money to move forward, the entire game can be completed in a reasonable amount of time without excessive effort and without a single in-app purchase. That being said, some cars are either hidden or have a high in-game price that may require spending money. It is not pay-to-win, however, as buying said exclusive cars with or without spending money will not heavily advance your game progress.

If this didn't help, or if you are looking for an answer to a question about the game itself, please see the official Eden Game's Gear.Club FAQ:

Media

Most of the media on this wiki comes from fans and players. We also would like to give special thanks to YouTube channel "superamerica" and the Internet Game Cars Database (IGCD) for supplying many of the images and clips that appear on the wiki.

We encourage readers to add their own media to the wiki!

Sources

We use a variety of sources on this wiki. The majority of our information comes either from firsthand from the Gear.Club games, Eden Games (the developer), Microids (the publisher), and Nintendo. When using media as a source, we use clips from YouTube and other media sites. For historical information, as seen on the car pages here on the wiki, we use Wikipedia. While we understand that this source may not always be reliable, we have found it to be the easiest way to find information on the subject quickly, especially since the history section on said pages is not an integral part of the page. Due to us having so few members, we do not have a sources tab at the bottom of pages, however we hope to include this in the future.

We're going to try something new. We've added two new posts. One lists the fastest cars by both top speed and acceleration. This is helpful if you're looking for the fastest car models. Check it out here: Gear.Club's Fastest Cars.

You might want that list for the next section. We've just opened up a Gear.Club Fastest Players competition. We want to find the twenty fastest players in all of the Gear.Club games to see how fast they can really go. Check it out for details, and see if you qualify for the list!

Fastest Players Competition

We want to find out the top twenty fastest players in Gear.Club! See if you can qualify for the Gear.Club Fastest Players competition:

  • To qualify, send one of our admins (see our member list on home page) a screenshot of you in a race achieving a Gear.Club record-breaking speed. Don't forget to include your in-game name and car model.
  • All cars and events count. The car can be stock or upgraded, and the event can be a normal race or a borrowed car in a Flash Event. As long as it is yourself setting the record, it counts.
  • All Gear.Club games qualify, True Racing, Unlimited, Unlimited 2, whichever.
  • The screenshot must show your speed in a race, not your car's top speed. We want to see you in-game actually attaining that speed.
  • Once you've sent your message, we will respond either letting you know that you qualified and your speed has been added, that you qualified but your speed didn't break any records, or that your image didn't qualify.

See the list here: Gear.Club's Fastest Players. Maybe you belong on that list!
